2010 Elections Again.....Events For Thursday, Oct 14...and the weekend

LAST NIGHT"S fundraiser for Council Candidate Chris Trumbauer brought out about 100 people  during the course of the night to The Latin Quarter on West Street where Trumbauer announced he was endorsed by he Fraternal Order of Police (Lodge 70) and the Anne Arundel County Professional Firefighters. Attorney General Doug Gansler was the special guest, and Sheriff Ron Bateman, States Attorney Frank Weathersbee, and Judges Jarashow and Kiessling were in the crowd. And surprise, surprise, former Gov. Glendening showed up. Councilman Benoit, Alderman Silverman and candidates Joanna Conti and Torrey Jacobsen were there and Congressman John Sarbanes was represented by Brigid Smith from his office. Senator John Astle also stopped by to join the mix of other supporters, including environmentalists, community leaders, activists, and even a developer (To which Trumbauer cautions reads "And no - I did not accept a donation, he came as my guest"  Oh!!).  Others in attendance were Steve Smith, Erik Michelsen, Janet and Nick Berry, Kathy Nieberding-Temprine and John Eldridge (of course), Tony Evans (as in Three Constitution Square), Scott Hymes and many others.

His opponent, Doug Burkhardt has recently held two successful fundraisers, including one hosted by Chris Fox of Sly Fox Pub. Attendees included Judicial Candidate Alison Asti, MD GOP Chair Audrey Scott and also Laurence Scott, former Alderman Mike Christman,  Senate candidate Ron Elfenbein, House candidate Seth Howard, former Council Candidate Michelle Corkadel and many others.

7:00 pm - 9:00pm, The League of Women Voters of Anne Arundel County in conjunction with the American Association of University Women Anne Arundel County Chapter is sponsoring a forum for County Executive candidates at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park
