LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS of Anne Arundel County to hold Immigration Forum

Panelist Pat Hatch, Member LWV US Immigration Study Committee, will address current legal status of the immigrant populations, including rights of workers and families, rights of individuals to fair treatment under the law, and education and training. Panelist Herb McMillan, former State Delegate and Alderman, will speak about the effects of legal and illegal immigration in the State of Maryland. A representative from the Department of Human Resources Homeland Security Office will discuss methods and effectiveness of border enforcement. Dr. Daniel Nataf, Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for the Study of Local Issues (CSLI), Anne Arundel Community College, will moderate. From Forest Drive, turn left onto Edgewood Road (just after the Giant Food shopping center on the left). Continue on Edgewood Road past marinas. BayWoods is on the right after a 90ยบ leftward bend in the road at a sign which says "Bembe Beach Road". Turn right at the large red brick building and you will be directed into a parking garage.
