(As gleaned from The Capital)
Site Realty executive Richard Cohen said:
"The public should view Mayor Moyer's statements for exactly what they are, a desperate attempt by a desperate politician trying to distance herself from her administration's own failures."
Mayor Moyer said:
"It appears their tactic is to unfairly discredit a person and cloud the real legal issue. We are not going to litigate this issue in the press. We are pursuing our legal options aggressively and we are confident in our position."
Is this a desperate attempt by a desperate politician or is this a matter of unfairly discrediting a person?
I don't presume to have an inkling of an understanding of the legal ins and outs but I have a prediction. I'm taking a chance here but this is what I think. Wait a minute, my crystal ball is cloudy....wait a minute...I am getting an image....I was seeing mediation and binding arbitration...but "Acting" City Attorney Steve Kling is hesitant...wait a minute....based on my experience in a real estate dispute with Kling he fought every attempt to resolve and settle the issue..he forced me into litigation...and he stretched it out as much as he could...and then when we were ordered to mediation Kling and his clients caved in within thirty minutes....and agreed to everything we asked for when we tried to settle....hmm...wait a minute...during the next month, the City Council is going to have to decide whether to keep Kling on as the "Real" City Attorney.....oh wait I am seeing something emerge...a few of our aldermen, including those most well-versed with the law and planning to stay on in the next council are urging the mayor to settle....settle...yes, they are willing to buy Site out of the contract....wait a minute...I see Ellen "O" leaving...she is slipping out of sight...I'm losing the image.......it's gone.....I am left exhausted...it is tiring to communicate with the spirit world....
Yes. I have seen the future....and it is murky. The Market House is murky.

The Capital should just put a timer on their stories about Moyer. Every time Ryan Fox writes one about Moyer, it is posted online for maybe a couple hours. Then it disappears to never-never land. You are right, the Capital has some good writers, but they are only allowed to follow Marquardts agenda. Congrats on shaping the State of the City Address.

Dear Peter D
I am going to stretch my rules on anonymity...just this once...while I can guess what the D stands for I do not know for certain...but why not identify yourself? You have ideas and opinions and write well, so why not come out of the news closet?I appreciate your note, and am not sure about the "disappearance" of articles as you suggest, but I can assure you that Mr. Marquardt is a reasonable fellow. As to whether he has an "agenda" I do not believe that his is any more than that of your average editor,or reporter---even CP!! We just can't help ourselves...and neither can anyone else....I suggest you take your concerns directly to him.
As far as agendas, the mayor is convinced that I am simply out to lie and defame her for publicity....go figure...And if you like CP, support my advertisers--and send a donation please!!!
Well at least is is not just you anymore trying to defame..according to the Mayor, Site is now out to get her.
