More Wacky Weikel...He says "There is nothing wrong with being gay. But....." he asks if candidates should "decarl" sexual preference

Weikel wrote to a Baltimore Sun reporter about the sexual orientation of certain elected officials and candidates (this chain appears in reverse chronological order. Raj Williams is a planner with the Department of Natural Resources, and an Eastport resident who served on the Comp Plan Committee) My comments in brackets and/or italics:

There is nothing wrong with being gay. But do Annapolis pols have an issue if they pretend. Like [BLANK BLANK and BLANK......I have declined to supply the names, but they are three highly visible candidates for office, including two incumbents--ALL DEMOCRATS!!!]? It opens them up to Sam stuff [Readers should understand what he means by that]. They should admit it. If they hide that, then what else is hidden?
CP NOTES: We are the one who should be wondering what else Weikel has hidden. I am so glad he thinks there is nothing wrong with being gay, but why would he be so interested in the sexual orientation of others, or is he just trying to attack candidates? Or is he once again, projecting?

Has everyone on council honestly decarled their sexual preference? Have all the candidates done so as well? An interesting question.

More on Wacky Weikel tomorrow!

Paul:

What exactly is Weikel's position with the City, and what is his salary?

I would think that such emails to a news reporter constitute grounds for dismissal.

It is none of his business to be discussiing the sexual orientation of City Council members.

If an employee, in the private sector, was found to be sending that kind of email to a news reporter, they would be immediately fired.

I guess Weikel is looking to join Moyer, her partner Maddox and Miron as the next target of another sexual harassment lawsuit.

All good questions to be sure but even more important is his position as an official of the Democratic Party, which only recently has taken any steps to disavow him but needs to be more direct as does a certain candidate with whom he is perhaps associated and perhaps even his employer,The Kinsella Group in Chicago. More to come about Weikel.
