Cohen Has Meeting....Yawn

The Cohen campaign just sent out a news release:

Cohen Meets With Ulman to Discuss Making Government
More Efficient and Effective
The two leaders pledge to continue working together.

Columbia, MD -- Anne Arundel County Councilman Josh Cohen, Candidate for Mayor of Annapolis, met for two hours yesterday afternoon with Howard County Executive Ken Ulman and several senior staff members. Cohen had requested the meeting to learn about Ulman's initiatives to improve government performance and reduce costs. The two also discussed transportation challenges in the Annapolis area. Ulman is a member of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and pledged to examine ways to improve regional transportation coordination for the greater Annapolis area.

Huh? Did I miss something? Josh had a meeting? That was newsworthy? They have "pledged to examine ways to improve regional transportation ....". The release came from his campaign for mayor's office and not his county council office? So I wrote to his campaign manager, Kathy Nieberding:

Kathy Why is this campaign news? Is this not part of the regular duties of a county council member? In his capacity as such, has Josh never met with Mr. Ulman? Does Josh normally send out news releases when he has meetings? Why not tell us what Josh has done to improve transportation in his many years on both the city council and now the county council, which he is planning on leaving early to take yet another job? After all, he often talks about improving transportation, but where has he been able to see that through?

Thank you.

He has made improving transportation a part of every one of his political campaigns and has done nothing--or am I missing something? I don't know, because his campaign has not responded.
I have not received a reply. I personally told him last night that I am tired of him having meetings about transportation and doing nothing.

The funny thing about all this is why is Cohen opting out of his position on County Council to become mayor if he wants to work on the county level? The release was sent out with a photo of the two. zzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
