The Annapolis High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is hosting a forum/panel discussion on Thursday, August 20 at 7:00 PM for mayoral candidates in the Annapolis High School Auditorium. The PTSA wants to hear about the candidate's vision for the Annapolis cluster of schools.
That should be fairly interesting.
I certainly hope they ask the candidates about where they went to school, and about their children and where they go to or have gone to school, what involvement or volunteer work they have done in the schools and with youth and especially about the expectation for the city government and the mayor to work with the school administration. I'll bet that Ellen O, as well as Alderwomen Hoyle and Finlayson will be quietly coaching their hand-picked candidate (candidates?) of choice to prepare them for this forum. Note to PTSA. Please have a strong-willed assistant principal on hand to administer discipline so the candidates don't act out. They must raise their hand to be called upon and if they speak out of turn, or are unprepared with the lesson, please send them to detention.
Candidates who do not have a number one pencil will be sent home.

I don't think you are going to find a lot of ground-breaking discussion here. Ellen O'Dodgem has made it clear that the county is responsible for schools. Maybe if they gang up on Cohen and call him out for not wanting to send his kids to school with the public housing kids. If you want to see some action ask the candidates about promoting school choice.
Peter Good points, but why don't you ask them?
It's generally a #2 pencil for those tests.
