OhNine OnLine for August 6, Kenny Kirby in Ward Six Update

While Scott Bowling in Three and Greg Stiverson in Six have been very visible, the newer candidates for alderman are slowly starting to get active in their campaigning, but there are no contested primaries so their one big day is in November of course. We have contacted each candidate, and hope to have them attend a Sip N' Blog when we resume in late August. Kenny Kirby who wants to be the alderman from the Sixth Ward has made some minor changes to his web-site and sent out an email blast which inexplicably went to an acquaintance of mine in New York City of all places, who forwarded it to me. I did not get one. Tsk, tsk.

The subject line of this email reads, "I am in it to win it":

Friends: It's time for Ward 6 to move forward. Lets's [sic] put the past behind us without animousity [sic] and recognize we can work together to fix our problems. There is hope. I have worked in our community for over 30 years to make a better life for our children and the community. I'm running for Alderman from Ward 6. I believe I can make a difference. Please vote for me on September 15 th and November 3rd. Join me. I'm in it to win it. Kenny Kirby

He also wrote "Your [sic] can help now by giving me your thoughts on how to move Ward 6 forward. And give me your ideas for this website."

I would certainly like to know about his experience, qualifications and goals as alderman and assume that my readers are equally interested. Well readers, here is your chance, as he has asked for ideas.

As soon as the other candidates get their web-sites up, we'll let you know.

OhNine OnLine needs your campaign news and details, rumors, gossip and intrigue. Please send information to paul@foerfront.com

I truly think Kenny will make a great candidate as Alderman for Ward 6.

Kenny Kirby has been a personal family friend and will be the best candidate for the position. Kenny will be about the business and will gain the support of the Ward. it takes an individual who understands the needs of the community/people and he has lived the experience and succeeded. Let's all get behind Mr. Kirby and start making a difference. He has the knowledge and all of the entrapments of public housing to make a CHANGE!!!!

Dear Jeff
When and why will he make a great candidate? However, is he not already a candidate? The question is do you think he will also make a great alderman and why? I'd like to know more about him and meet him but he's not interested in letting me help inform the public. Perhaps you can tell us more about him. Do you live in Ward Six? Please tell us more. Thanks CP

Okay, that's a start. So he WILL be the best candidate or is the best for the position? There are only two. He has lived what experience and succeeded? Your last statement is really interesting as you said "He has the knowledge and all of the entrapments of public housing to make a CHANGE!!!!" Would you please explain what you mean by that, especially by saying he has "entrapments"? And since you are supposedly in Colliervville, TN, what do you know about Ward Six of Annapolis? Thank you.
