Hey CP what's up with this Star Wars, Dark Side, Darth Weikel thing?.....Well, sometimes I can be a little poetic, so here goes--here we are about a week away from city elections and just look at all the great things Democrats are doing to boost their party! From the District 30 Democratic Club:

"Our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 28 (the fourth Wednesday of the month) at Asbury United Methodist Church, 87 West Street, Annapolis. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the meeting starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Democratic mayoral candidate Josh Cohen will be with us for the start of the meeting, and Speaker Mike Busch and Delegate Virginia Clagett will speak with us.  We'll hear from the mayoral and aldermanic campaigns about the final push before the November 3 election in the City of Annapolis. We look forward to seeing you there.  Meanwhile, please volunteer to help elect our Democratic candidates!"

Look at what renegade Democratic Central Committee Member Chuck "Wacky" Weikel (Remember--he does not lie--he's a graduate of the US Naval Academy...or so he says--not that we would doubt his word)  has planned--at the exact same time!

"For our Democratic Aldermanic candidates"??? Except Israel, Arnett, Finlayson, and Hoyle. Okay. So let me get this straight. I can understand that Weikel would snub all his fellow Democrats and set up this event at the same time. Of course Kenny Kirby might specifically ignore all the leadership of the Democratic party (even though they gave him money) to go along with his Rasputin-like handler's game plan. However, I cannot imagine why Silverman and Pfeiffer (who also got Dem's financial support) would not only snub their leadership, volunteers, supporters and voters in favor of being Darth Weikel's guests of honor, but why they would even soil themselves to participate with or be seen with Weikel?

I am sure Darth Weikel will say it is because he is powerful. Perhaps the candidates are thinking the same. Perhaps they are thinking if they don't participate that Weikel will attack them. Perhaps they are thinking something else--or just not thinking at all. Or perhaps they are feeling the power of the dark side.
