It's what you've all been waiting for!! We have much for which to be thankful for and to celebrate, do we not? CP is turning Fifty--not the blog, but the publisher, and the best is yet to come. It is even possible that at this advanced stage of life, I might start to make some sense or be reasonable. Don't count on it. Besides the blog will be three years old in February. But we have other reasons for which to be thankful, but we won't disclose them here...perhaps you can guess.
BUT...with thanks to Chuck Ferrar of Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits, you are invited to a private beer and wine-tasting event at the shop in the Bay Ridge Shopping Center at Bay Ridge and Hillsmere Rd., Thursday, December 10th from 7-9 pm. Please feel free to bring some snacks or appetizers to share.
If you read Capital Punishment, have attended a Sip N' Blog, have run for or hold public office, work in the news media, you are invited...but....you are requested to please send me an email to get your personal invitation which you need to bring to the party. Otherwise our bouncers may not allow you in. But seriously folks, rules are rules and laws are laws and they are not meant to be broken unless you're a politician, which is why we have to be careful. So please send CP an email requesting your invitation which you should print out and bring with you. In this manner, we maintain the "private" atmosphere of the party.
Thanks for reading CP and we're looking forward to seeing you on the Tenth!
