Local Businessman Throws His Hat Into Ring for Cohen's Seat

A local businessman and political activist has expressed his official interest in being appointed to Josh Cohen's soon-to-be-vacant seat on the County Council. Chuck Ferrar, the long-time owner of Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits now joins the ranks of other county Democrats hoping for the District Six Seat. While I cannot yet confirm this list, it purportedly includes former Annapolis Alderwoman Cynthia Carter, recent mayoral candidate Trudy McFall, Michael Miller (no, not the Senate President) and planning commission member William Moulden. I am not certain, but sources have told me that Alderwoman Sheila Finlayson and Classie Hoyle are no longer expressing interest (I have not bothered contacting them because they do not respond...). I will try to get updates on this after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Billy Moulden is a member of the Board of Appeals. There is no such thing as a "Planning Commission" in Anne Arundel County.
