Off-Duty AA County Sheriff's Deputy In Collision in September

Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Rio was driving in an unmarked official sheriffs vehicle westbound on Route 50 in Prince George's County and hit an unoccupied vehicle.  It was September 19th and Rio was off duty. Maryland State Police investigated the accident but did not charge Rio.

According to Chief Deputy, Major Paul Tabor, Rio is "no longer employed" with the Sheriff's Office.

There were no records online in a state judiciary records search about Rio. If a more enterprising and motivated reporter who actually gets paid wants to follow the story, and there may be more to it, please be my guest. Maryland State Police accident records cost $4.00 and may be obtained through the mail.
