The leading blog by, for and of the people of Annapolis, Maryland since February, 2007 works to engage citizens to improve our community and ensure honest and effective governance.
I have not yet heard from Senator John Astle regarding the extremely close race for his seat, but this just came in from his opponent, District 30 Senate candidate Ron Elfenbein:
Many of you have posted on Facebook, emailed and called to find out the results of our race, and honestly, we do not know yet. Currently, I am 767 votes behind with over 2000 absentee ballots still to be counted in district 30. Additionally, the state ballots sent to our armed forces overseas are not due until November 22, 2010. In other words, we are about to experience quite the test of our patience.
The 2053 absentee ballots that have been collected so far will be counted tomorrow starting at 10 AM. Many of our supporters have volunteered to help with this effort, and again we extend a huge thank you! Look here for frequent updates to all the 2010 election campaigns with 2010 Elections Again!
