The Art of Advocacy...

The League of Women Voters of Maryland will present a half-day lobbying course on The Art of Advocacy on Saturday, November 14, 9 am to noon in the Miller Senate Office Building in Annapolis.  A tour of the Legislative Complex is included.   Six Maryland  lobbyists from different interest groups will present how-to information. Reservations are not required. Payment may be made at the door. The course is $25 which includes a copy of the League publication, Maryland Government, How it Works and How to Work It.
A reservation-only luncheon featuring Senator John Sarbanes speaking on health care will be held the same date at 12:15 pm at the Ram's Head.  The luncheon is $35 separately or both events are $50.  Reservations for the luncheon must be received by Nov. 10 at LWVMD, Inc., 106 B South Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
