Joanna Conti to Kick Off Candidacy
Announcement on Tuesday, March 23, at Loew’s Hotel Democratic businesswoman Joanna Conti will formally announce her candidacy for Anne Arundel County Executive at a kick-off party on Tuesday, March 23. The event is being held at Loew's Annapolis Hotel at 126 West St. in Annapolis from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. "This will be a fun event," said Conti, "where I will make my case that we deserve a strong leader who will tackle the tough challenges facing Anne Arundel County." Light appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available. As a special treat, Cat Stratakis, the recent Annapolis Idol winner, will perform at the event. Conti has run businesses in five different industries, including founding a nonprofit, which has helped tens of thousands of orphans in Africa and Asia and turning around a real estate education company.
