2010 Elections Again

2010 Elections Again--Join District 6 County Councilman Chuck Ferrar and Friends TONIGHT on Thursday, August 5 from 6pm to 8pm at his campaign headquarters at 1927 West Street in Annapolis, for an evening of food, drinks, music and fun.Chris’s Charcoal Pit will provide the food and Greek pastries. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and can be purchased in advance or at the door.For tickets call 443-221-0825 or email info@chuckferrar.com   Ferrar has received the official endorsement of the Metropolitan Baltimore Council of the AFL-CIO. With thousands of members in more than 180 locals, the AFL-CIO endorsement was announced shortly after Councilman Ferrar received the endorsement of Teamsters Joint Council No. 62, which represents the Anne Arundel County Deputy Sheriffs. Ferrar has submitted a charter amendment to change the process for filling open seats on the Council. Councilman Ferrar was appointed to the Council to fill the vacancy left by Josh Cohen, who became mayor of Annapolis. Having been through the appointment process, Ferrar stated, “The system we have for filling vacancies needs to be changed.” Ferrar went on to state that he believes the process of filling vacancies on the Council should be altered to allow “more direct input from the voters.”
