There's nothing like unbridled optimism to put a positive spin on what can only be decribed as disappointing poll results for County Executive Joanna Conti. After being delivered the news that a recent poll by Patrick Gonzales shows her 30 percentage points behind incumbent John Leopold, Conti sent out a news release saying she is "rapidly closing the gap." Her campaign says she "delivered an impressive performance" in a recent candidate's forum. In addition, she put out a new television ad that can be seen here:
