In Concert Against Hate-November 15th at Washington's Kennedy Center

I was fortunate to attend last year's "In Concert Against Hate" at the Kennedy Center that was sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League. This year's event will be held on Monday, November 15th and I recommend you consider the short drive to our nearby nation's capital to observe an evening of soulful music and speech honoring victims of hate crimes and those who stand up to haters. The event is produced by Bonnie Nelson Schwartz of Eastport.

Last year's event was hosted by Liev Schrieber and honored civil rights photographer Tom Self who snapped the famed 1963 images from the KKK bombing of a Birmingham church; Mindy Finkelstein who helped children escape from the gun attack against a Jewish school; Joseph Ileto, a Filipino American and postal service worker who was murdered because he looked "either Hispanic or Asian" by the gunman who had just attacked the Jewish school; and Ilsa and Lisa Klinghoffer whose father Leon, was murdered by PLO terrorists on the Achille Lauro because he was a Jew. His daughters brought a lawsuit against the PLO.

And the orchestra played one of my favorites--Under the Southern Cross, the theme music to the documentary "Victory at Sea"

This year's concert will be hosted by members of the cast of GLEE and features the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Emil de Cou.  If you are interested in gathering a group of Annapolitans to attend the concert, please contact me at paul@FOERFONT.COM AND to all you haters out there.....PLEASE....NO HATE MAIL!

Visit Concert Against Hate for more information or to buy tickets which start at $36.00.
