FROM TODAY'S ANNAPOLIS POLICE BEAT.....At least it was only a bb gun...for now...
After reading this, see the photo of this young lad. CP posts this as a reminder to readers that when good children go bad--it happens in middle school and when bad children go to worse, it also happens in middle school. What I don't understand is why did the police have such trouble finding this suspect if he was in a meeting with his school principal??? How could the school not have notified the principal that he was a suspect in the bb gun incident???? Was his mother an accomplice?? And how could he have fled school and is now apparently unapprehended???? The schools can only do so much. The rest is up to all of us, parents, neighbors and community!! But if CP reads this correctly, the police have some explaining to do as well. And as a Bates parent, should I have been notified by the school about this too?? After all, maybe another Bates parent or student knows where this boy is!!
2. THREATS/WANTED PERSON: On April 19th, at 12:32 PM, the principal of
Bates Middle School reported that she was threatened by a student while
she was holding a meeting with the child and his mother. Expulsion was
being discussed, when the suspect stood up and stated * I*m going to
drop you*. The victim felt concerned because she had since become
aware that the suspect was accused of crimes in the Annapolis area
recently and considered a threat to public safety. The suspect fled the
school before officers arrived, and he was not located. He was
identified as 13 year old Tyemon Lamontray Crawford, the same suspect
being sought in connection with the recent BB Gun attacks in the Clay
Street area. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call
police at 410-268-4141. To view a photo of the suspect, please go to:

He is described as a black male, 5' tall, 93 pounds, brown hair and
brown eyes.
