McCain Returns!

...to Annapolis...perhaps he came this weekend because he heard CP was away...and this time he is not here because of his dad or his grandpa...and this time he seems to be a bit closer to the top...the man graduated barely off the bottom of the list in 1958 and only through the intervention of friends who took the fall was he able to eke by without too many demerits....however, unlike "W" at least McCain served and showed up...although his waritme contribution, however "honorable" was not too successful...while he claims he "knows how to win wars"...at least they can't "swiftboat" Obama..,but if he had served, they would find something to pin on him....no, they just call him anti-American etc.....all this patriotism stuff is making me ill...McCain talks about how we are "winning" in Iraq and many people are afraid to speak up against this whole mad episode and how it has permanently damaged our country...meantime, McCain and crew want to have it boths ways about Obama...on the one hand he is untested and inexperienced, but on the other hand he is the mess in Washington and he is responsible for the mess...while McCain, a major Washington figure for decades brands himself as the man for change! Of course Obama did pick Biden...??? We seem to want change and stability...we want youth and new ideas and we want experienced leaders....Oohh, the contradictions, ooh the divisions.....oh how do we do the right thing? Who do you trust? Who will be thoughtful and diplomatic? Who will be strong yet compassionate? Who will appont the most competent and deserving people to his administration? Who will work with Congress?
We never seem to find a majority of voters who are happily and wholeheartedly supporting their candidate anymore. We settle for the candidate somehow--warts and all..or we call it the lesser of two evils. We muddle on... Have fun in Annapolis Senator McCain. We know you had more than your share of fun when you "studied" here...

Murder Follow Up

The police are being tight lipped on the recent murder. It also seems that the woman involved is recovering but they are not releasing her name for fear of her safety.

It has been speculated that this might be a gang shooting. So is this where we are now? What are your thoughts?
