Annapolis Capital Punishment

On Wednesday, June 17, at 7:30 am (tomorrow) Ward Three hopeful Scott Bowling will speak at the Republican Breakfast Club at The Eastport Yacht Club 317 First Street...I went to a GOP breakfast and had to spend $8 so I could hear Frank Flyntz. I asked to be comped as a reporter and they refused--the only political event to do that, so I am not going anymore. The food was pretty disappointing for $8 as well.....Saturday's Breakfast with Dems only costs $3 and I am invited for free so I go (I did pay the $3 this time...). It brought out about 30 folks to meet and listen to Ward One Alderman Dick Israel, Ward Three candidate Ian Pfeiffer and mayoral candidate Zina Pierre. No great surprises or announcements but a good way to meet candidates. Thanks to all the folks who organized the event, especially local Dem chair, Nick Berry.... Matt Silverman, a county police officer who recently announced for Ward Five was also present......
