Wacky Weikel On Warpath...again...it just gets weirder

Not content to pillory fellow Democrats and send nasty emails about them to just about anyone for just about any "reason", Wacky Chuck Weikel has now attacked a Republican candidate--for the unpardonable sin of going on a vacation. When one of his broad-casted email missives got an auto reply from a candidate saying he was out of town, Weikel started spreading BS about how the candidate was going off to a swanky place, as if that were a crime.

The candidate's auto email reply said:

I'm out-of-state until Friday, July 17. If you need to reach me, call [removed by editor]

So how is life on The Cape? Or is it La Jolla?

Btw - you are Nothern European. So use a good sun block. I'd
recommend SPF 40.

Vacations are grand! Perhaps next year you can use your tax payer
financed 'education stipend' for excursions

Was Weikel just trying to be funny? Could SPF 40 mean "Silence Paul Foer" before he turns 40? If so, it's too late. As if the reference toward the candidate being too-white was not enough, Weikel then sends this email out to more on his list:

On Jul 11, 2009, Chuck Weikel <cweikel@mac.com> wrote:
The Capital et al has roundly criticized Ellen's 'vacations' where she was doing City business -- on her own nickel. Now their man is off on some Leisureworld trip?

Come on [Blank]. And you want to be a mini mayor?

All I can hope is the weather is better in La Jolla.

Chuck

"Their man..."? ...."some Leisureworld trip."? Now he suggests the candidate is elderly? What kind of phony Weikel BS is this? It turns out the candidate was returning to his boyhood home to attend his first family reunion in 15 years--which was to a rather economically depressed area that also gets a lot of heavy-duty summer sunshine Not that any of this matters. A candidate can take a vacation and go wherever he or she chooses. Weikel seems to think there was some relation to this event and to the outcry against Mayor Moyer when she toured England and the continent one summer. Of course there are enormous differences between an incumbent mayor who already traveled a lot leaving for seven weeks while the murder rate soared and a candidate going to visit family for a week, but none of this matters to Wacky Weikel. He is not satisfied with his public requests to the city attorney, elected officials, reporters and others that insist on full-body medical scans for candidates or to call into question their sexual preferences. He now has to spread more BS about a candidate who visits his family.

The candidate even replied to Weikel that:

"I have never criticized Mayor Moyer for her trip to Europe a couple years ago..."

Remember that this is the same Chuck Weikel whose web-site still reads that "He founded and chairs Positive Voices, a Maryland registered bi-partisan PAC that is trying to stop personal attacks on individual candidates by focusing on issues and facts."

Students of human behavior call Weikel's actions passive-aggressive and projection. What's next? Any guesses? Now that Democratic leaders are finally (although way too late and way too politely) taking notice of Weikel, perhaps others will be willing to speak out? Who's next on his hit list? Is it you? Perhaps it is time for the citizens of Annapolis to send Wacky Weikel on a vacation--with a one-way ticket, though maybe not to La Jolla or The Cape.
