Last night's forum in West Annapolis had an attentive and engaged audience of about 70, and this time, I'd guess that maybe only a quarter were the core supporters. All Democratic candidates attended...meaning that Chris Fox and Dave Cordle were AWOL.I thought it was a well organized event with the exception of those absolutely silly pet peeve questions posed by the moderator that gave each candidate 5 seconds to answer...CP will be putting on the best debate of the entire campaign in October with lots of HEAT....We are pleased to report that Alderman Dick Israel is recovering from a recent medical procedure known as Deep Brain Stimulation. This procedure is expected to reduce the effect of the symptoms of the Parkinson's condition and enable him to reduce the medication he has been taking. Since Dick appears to be doing well, I can make light of the situation. Hopefully he'll read this from bed and chuckle. Wow! Deep Brain Stimulation. I'll bet that was one of the deepest probes ever performed. I know I am stimulated every time I talk with him. I wonder if they were able to find the part of the memory where poems, famous speeches and court decisions are stored. I could think of a few other elected officials who might benefit from any kind of brain stimulation...they certainly would not have to go as deep.
