Annapolis Capital Punishment

According to a well-placed source, a call was placed to the City Clerk this evening to inquire as to whether Zina Pierre had officially withdrawn from the general election ballot. She had not.

As of this evening, Zina Pierre was still listed as a candidate on the city's web-site. Of course the web-site does not get instantly updated. According to city code, Pierre has until Friday afternoon to officially withdraw or she will become the nominee. This means, as far as I am concerned, that she has not again become a private citizen, thus it is fair for me to still be writing about this topic. Therefore I must ask, why has she not officially removed her name from the ballot?

Hmm.   Hmm..  Hey wait a minute, you don't suppose...???  Naw, no it can't be....no way....there is still some time...tick...tick...tick...tick
